Privacy note (demo)
How the appointment form handles your details
What the form collects
Your name; a phone number or an email address (at least one); the service you are interested in; a preferred date and time of day; an optional note; and your agreement to this note. Please don’t include medical information in the note. The form also sends a fixed subject line and a sender label so the salon can recognise the message.
What happens when you send it
When you press “Request appointment”, your browser sends the details above directly to Web3Forms, a third-party form service, which processes the submission and emails it to the salon. The details travel in the body of the request, not in the web address.
Needs provider verification: this demo has not checked what technical data Web3Forms receives or keeps when you submit the form (for example your IP address or browser details), how long it keeps anything, or where it is stored. A real business must confirm this from Web3Forms’ own terms and privacy information and describe it here accurately before using the form.
With JavaScript on: the page checks the form first. While the form has no Web3Forms access key (the case in this demo), the page sends nothing and tells you the form is not connected. If sending fails once a key is set, the page shows an error message and your details stay in the form.
With JavaScript off: the page cannot check anything first. Pressing the button makes your browser send the form straight to Web3Forms, even in this demo. Because no real access key is set here, the submission is expected to be rejected and nothing is delivered to anyone, but the details you typed are still transmitted to Web3Forms, and what it does with a rejected submission has not been verified. Please do not enter real personal details in this demo form with JavaScript turned off.
This site’s own code has no database, no account system and no analytics, and sets no cookies. That statement covers only the site’s own files: the hosting provider and the third parties listed below have not been checked for cookies or logging. Sending is not an instant booking: the salon replies to confirm.
The salon uses your details only to reply to your request.
Where the website is hosted
This demo has no hosting provider chosen yet. Web hosts commonly keep server access logs, which can include your IP address, the time of your visit, the pages and files requested, and browser details. What a particular host records, for how long, and who can see it depends on that provider and its settings. A real business must find this out from its chosen host and describe it here.
Other third parties this site contacts
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. When the page loads, your browser contacts Google, which can receive your IP address and browser details. Self-hosting the fonts would remove this.
- Google Maps is contacted only if you click the address link. The map is not embedded.
Details a real business must fill in
- The legal name and contact details of the business responsible for your information.
- How long form submissions are kept, and where Web3Forms and the salon’s email provider store them.
- What the hosting provider logs and for how long, and what Web3Forms receives and keeps (to be confirmed with each provider).
- How you can ask to see, correct or delete your details, and who to contact.
- Any rules that apply in the countries where the business and its visitors are, which need qualified advice.
